Yaya & Kolo Toure Brothers Death

The IFF (Ivorian Football Federation) has released a statement about the death of Ibrahim Toure, the brother of Kolo and Yaya Toure on its official website. It has been stated that Ibrahim (28- years-old) who also was a football player and played as a Striker for Lebanon’s Club Al Safa passed away just hours after Ivory Coast’s 2-1 defeat to Colombia on Thursday.

The younger of the Toure brothers Ibrahim was very close to his older brother’s. It has been stated that Ibrahim died after a short battle with cancer and his death occurred in Manchester, where currently Yaya Toure plays his football for Manchester City. The IFF statement stated: A tough day for the Toure brothers just after the defeat to Colombia Yaya and Kolo learned about the death of their younger brother. A painful and sad moment for the Toure brothers and the entire Ivorian delegation to Brazil supports them in this painful circumstance. Liverpool have released a statement offering their condolence’s to Kolo Toure and his family. Similarly Manchester city and many players have paid their tributes and given their condolences to the Toure family. Yaya has been playing and is the captain of the Ivory Coast whereas Kolo has been an unused sub for the Ivory Coast. The Ivory Coast’s next match against Greece is a must win match but with the death of their younger brother it will be tough for the Toure brothers to be able to perform their best in the match?
